Myrtle Beach International Passenger Statistics
Myrtle Beach International Airport enplanements for August 2102 were 88,531 compared to 106,915 in August of 2011, a decrease of 17.19%.
August 2012 seat capacity remains soft compared to August 2011, down 20%. However, August 2012 average load factor (number of people on-board aircraft) has increased by two points over same period last year to 85%.
Despite decreased enplanements, the majority of MYR’s airline partner’s experienced increased passenger volumes in August: Allegiant Air was up 1%, United Airlines was up 21%, Delta Air Lines was up 1% and US Airways was up 2 % for the month August. Unfortunately, Spirit Airlines MYR’s largest airline carried 11% fewer passengers in August compared to same period last year.
