Churchill Downs

Churchill Downs, located on Central Avenue in south Louisville, Kentucky, United States, is a Thoroughbred racetrack most famous for hosting the Kentucky Derby annually. It officially opened in 1875 and held the first Kentucky Derby and the first Kentucky Oaks in the same year. When you visit the Kentucky Derby Museum you will find yourself immersed in the next best thing to actually being at the Derby. Exhibits will take you through the journey from the birth of the foal to the winner's circle. Find yourself in the middle of Kentucky Derby week activities and Derby traditions.
