Featuring the world’s largest children’s museum, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, the Caribbean Cove water park, and the White River State Park, there’s no shortage of family fun in Indiana’s capital. For the sports enthusiasts, Indianapolis is home to the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League, the Indianapolis Pacers of the National Basketball Association, and the Indianapolis Indians, a triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirate MLB team. There are symphonies, orchestras, and operas, as well as many cultural districts for all types of art and cultural entertainment. At the center of Indianapolis is Monument Circle, featuring the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Over the years, the museum has amassed one of the world's largest, and most varied collections of racing, antique and classic cars, including more than 30 that have won the famous Indianapolis 500. Year-round narrated bus tours of the race track are available, weather permitting and when the track is not in use for racing, testing, or special events. The Tony Hulman Theatre presents a short film on the history of the track and its’ importance to fans worldwide.
