During the calendar year 2019, airlines operating at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) reported carrying 2,611,563 total passengers, an increase of 101,689 passengers over 2018.
At MYR, year‐ending December 2019 passenger counts, which include enplanements and deplanements, totaled 2,611,563 passengers compared to 2,509,897 in 2018. During 2019, the Airport welcomed 1,307,168 arriving passengers, or deplanements, representing a 4.1‐percent increase over last year.
“During 2019, a record number of passengers passed through the Myrtle Beach International Airport,” said Scott Van Moppes, director of airports. “In total our airline partners carried over one hundred thousand more passengers this year, exceeding passenger counts for all previous years. All‐in‐all, 2019 was an incredible year as the airlines serving the Grand Strand added non-stop seat capacity from 21 markets, carriers added six new markets to their network at the Airport while continuing to expand service options during the destinations spring and fall seasons.
