“These restrooms were thoughtfully designed with comfort, dignity, and inclusivity in mind,” said Judi Olmstead, Director of Airports. “We’re proud to offer amenities that serve a wider range of needs and help make every traveler’s experience at MYR more welcoming.”
In addition to the restroom upgrades, passengers will soon enjoy a variety of terminal enhancements. Construction is underway on Pizza Hyena, a vibrant local food and beverage option, and Shoreline by Hudson, a retail concept offering travel essentials and regionally inspired gifts.
Travelers will also notice ongoing and upcoming improvements throughout the terminal, including new terrazzo flooring, enhanced signage, comfortable seating options, and increased charging stations throughout public areas. The completed concourse expansion will feature six additional gates, runway views, and self-tinting glass that adjusts to natural light for passenger comfort.
These enhancements are part of MYR’s larger effort to modernize the airport and deliver a smoother, more comfortable experience for the growing number of residents and visitors traveling through the Grand Strand. The terminal expansion project is expected to be completed in December 2025.
