Leading airport restaurateur Paradies Lagardère and the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) announced today the grand opening of their first Starbucks location. In 2020, Starbucks chose Paradies Lagardère as a trusted partner to operate their brand in airports across the United States.
An exciting addition at MYR, the first Starbucks in a South Carolina airport offers travelers and airport staff a robust menu of the brand’s signature hot and cold beverages, healthy options for breakfast and lunch, and their popular sandwiches, pastries, and bistro boxes. Additionally, this location will offer guests the convenience and speed of service of the Starbucks Mobile Ordering app. Travelers will be excited to see this international brand being offered post security on Level 2.
Paradies Lagardère is poised to open numerous Starbucks locations in U.S. airports during the next few years.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to have an iconic brand like Starbucks in our portfolio. Opening our first location so quickly is a sign of our commitment to the brand as well as our overall agility,” said Gregg Paradies, Paradies Lagardère President and CEO. “This recognized and loved brand will further enhance the travelers’ experience at this outstanding airport. I would like to thank the Myrtle Beach International Airport for this great opportunity and the Paradies Lagardère Dining Division for their extra efforts to make our vision a reality.”
“We are very excited about the grand opening of Starbucks at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR),” said Scott Van Moppes, Director of Airports. “As the only Starbucks airport location in the State of South Carolina, the airport team couldn’t be prouder to offer customers another premium food and beverage option. We would like to thank the Paradies Lagardère team for their hard work and dedication and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
“As Starbucks opens up the Travel Channel to multiple operators, we are excited to work with Paradies Lagardère in opening their very first airport Starbucks in South Carolina and the first new airport store opening with Mobile Order and Pay.” said Henry Klein, Starbucks Travel Channel. “We believe the Paradies Lagardère/Starbucks relationship will deliver the safe, familiar, and convenient Starbucks experience our customers know and love.”
