Myrtle Beach, SC, February 21, 2023 – Travelers at the Myrtle Beach International Airport can look forward to new nonstop flights options this summer.

Beginning May 5, Spirit Airlines will launch new seasonal flights to Rochester, NY (ROC). Flights will operate 4x/week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available for purchase at www.spirit.com.

On June 1, Allegiant Airlines will launch new seasonal flights to Akron-Canton, OH (CAK). Flights will operate 2x/week on Thursday and Sunday. Tickets are available for purchase at www.allegiantair.com.

"We couldn't be more excited for these new routes," said Judi Olmstead, Assistant Director of Airports. "Both markets have incredibly high travel demand, yet both were considered underserved due to a lack of nonstop flight options. These new flights will provide easy access to the Grand Strand for the many visitors and second-home owners from this region, in addition to providing our residents with even more options for visiting friends and family this summer."
